The issue of Superman fathering a child has been one of some debate. Some writers have attempted to establish Kryptonian and Terran Deoxyribonucleic acid as incompatible (such equally in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, for example). Others have skirted over the details and written stories that accept no problem with the idea of a Kryptonian and homo having biological offspring.
Superman has also fathered children with women of other races. Kryptonian primarily, but also other super-powered beings such every bit Wonder Woman. And, although she was unsuccessful, Maxima (an Almeracian) tried for years to make Superman her mate with strong suggestions that she comport his kid.
